Position: Visual Designer (Wearables)

Location: Mountain View, CA

Duration: 12+ month contract, potential to extend

Rate: $70-75/hour, DOE

Our client is searching for a strong Visual Designer to join their team for a 12+ month contract. As a visual designer, you will help shape the vision for end-to-end sharing experiences across the wearables team, working directly with Art Directors. You will join a group of diverse, passionate, talented individuals to design, iterate and release a number of features and experiences across multiple product surfaces.

Project Overview:

• Understanding of design trends in time telling UI
• Experience working for mobile digital design
• Expert use of typography

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with watch face Art Director to execute design priorities
• Effectively document and communicate designs through the creation and maintenance of high quality design spec’s and slide decks
• Review implementation of designs to ensure all work is to spec

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years' experience as visual or graphic designer
• Confident process of concepting, iteration, and polished execution 
• Work closely with creative leads taking feedback and direction
• Asset generation in a variety of formats, both static and motion.
• Strong layout sensibilities
• Fluency with visual and interaction design tools: Adobe CC, Figma
• Nice to have Skills (not required): 
• Attention to detail
• Presentation skills (verbal, visual, written)
• Willing to take feedback and iterate
• Able to work independently on a given brief
• Icon illustration skills are a plus
