Position: UX Research Lead

Pay Range: $80-90/hour

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

 

Job Summary

Our client is searching for a strong and seasoned UX Research Lead to join their team for a 6+ month contract. You will work as the UX Research Lead on a new digital marketing strategy team focused on improving B2B website experiences and strategies. This role sits under their Marketing & Communications group and heavily leverages the UserZoom online research platform.

 

Duties & responsibilities

– Serve as the lead researcher & project coordinator for a large multi-website research project

– Closely support, coordinate, and collaborate with multiple web marketing teams throughout the research process

– Support teams with on-going feedback on web research plans (key research questions, online methodologies, participant profiles, study creation, project timeline)

– Synthesize and communicate research findings to inform business decisions through storytelling via presentations, reports, and workshops

– Regularly educate team members on the UX research process and best practices

– Partner cross-functionally with digital web teams, creative studio, marketers, and product UX teams

– Maintain and update an online portal and website of research studies, findings, and templates for stakeholders and team members

– Manage relationships with third-party research vendors (UserZoom)

– Help to evolve our product research workflows and toolkit

– Manage research funds across groups and ensure research pools are refilled regularly

– Share out quarterly research updates with key stakeholders

 

Must have experience with:

– Qualitative research methods

– Quantitative and qualitative analysis

– Presenting research outcomes & recommendations to stakeholders

– Project management

– Budget tracking

– Online research tools (UserZoom, UserTesting, etc.) and testing online prototypes

 

Ability to:

– Work independently across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

– Ask the right questions and solve the right problems

– Speak to stakeholders across all disciplines and levels

– Build empathy amongst stakeholder groups for user needs

– Tie digital experiences together to create holistic experiences

 

Qualifications and Skills

– 6+ years of research experience with a focus on digital experiences

– Seasoned practitioner in both qualitative and quantitative research

– Familiar with the UserZoom platform and analyzing online UX Research studies

– Prototyping skills (any design tool)

– Digital Accessibility criteria

– Human-Centered Design processes

– Agile processes

– User interviewing moderation experience

– Experience with both generative and evaluative research initiatives
