Senior Interaction Designer

12-month contract w/ potential for extensions or full-time hire (medical, dental & vision benefits offered)

Our client is looking for a talented and passionate Sr. Interaction Designer to join their team of professionals. In this role, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team that is tasked with designing key experiences for two of their brands. You will also help identify opportunities and partner with teams across the ecosystem to bring integrated experiences to market. The right candidate for this job is detail-oriented and through in thinking through how experiences should work for our consumers. The work environment is highly collaborative and requires an individual with excellent communication skills and a keen ability to build and foster strong partnerships through an open and transparent working style.

The UX organization is comprised of a diverse mix of disciplines from Design to Research to Content Strategy. Responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of a cross-functional teams to analyze consumer, client, and business goals along with product requirements and translate them into high quality design solutions
  • Deliver comprehensive interaction designs that make complex tasks easy and align with best practices in the market
  • Present design work to peers and business leaders to gain consensus
  • Contribute to, conduct, and participate in formative and evaluative research to uncover insights and identify usability issues
  • Translate user research, market research, and live-site test findings into design solutions
  • Collaborate with visual designers to refine the interactive experience and produce solutions consistent with our brands
  • Lead complex work streams independently
  • Help other UX team members as they solve their design problems, and collaborate with the rest of the team on improving the way we work
  • Engage in thinking across our products and services that results in high quality design solutions that benefit the user, client, and business

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience creating wireframes, page flows, site maps, and related design documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Experience designing for digital media experiences (web, mobile, apps, etc.) using user-centered design practices
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent self-starter
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and follow-through on completion of tasks
  • Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to work on concurrent projects and quickly prioritize competing tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Axure preferred
  • Experience working in an agile environment a plus
