Title: Marketing Specialist (Public Sector Marketing)

Location: NYC

Duration: 12+ months, potential to extend


The role: Our client is searching for a Marketing Specialist for a 12+ month contract. This role will focus on higher ed institutions and is a part of the Public Sector Marketing team. Our team is responsible for raising awareness and interest about the Cloud among colleges and universities across the globe, and leading these organizations through a seamless customer journey, from interest to discovery, purchasing our technology, commitment and advocacy. You will be a professional marketer working in the field with higher ed institutions to lift mindshare, drive the Cloud new acquisition/demand, and acquire revenue. You are a passionate and results-driven individual, ideally with experience in a software or other high-tech cloud B2B organization and/or in the education sector.


Top responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing the marketing strategy and programs for the US higher ed institutions working closely with the Public Sector marketing, Sales, and cross-functional teams
  • Strategize, plan and execute programs to drive demand including Google-hosted and third party events, nurture campaigns and account based marketing programs including managing relationships with industry organizations 
  • Manage scaled channels and content including website presence; email programs and customer stories to help drive awareness of our solutions and customer stories
  • Work closely with the sales teams to drive opportunities and business growth in key accounts



  • Education: Degree and field- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3-4+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Experience planning and executing multiple, complex marketing programs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment Strong collaboration skills, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders across diverse teams
  • Excellent communication skills both in marketing communications and with internal stakeholders
  • Project management skills, including managing medium to large projects, external vendors, and agencies
  • Problem-solving, strategic and analytical capabilities with a track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics
  • Understanding of the requirements of working with regulated industries
