Title: Business Analyst Project Manager
Location: Remote
Duration: 10+ months (medical, dental, vision benefits offered)
(*** must be able to work PST hours***)
What will you be doing as a Business Analyst?
As a Business Analyst, you will act as a central point of contact for business and functional
requirements across multiple technology projects. You will attend stakeholder meetings, document requirements,
and translate these requirements to the development teams. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders
across various business departments and collaboratively define and document the product vision. This position
will work most directly with Product Management, Engineering, Program Management groups within Technology,
but will also have regular meetings with business stakeholders involved in the projects.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our users’ needs and business objectives as they relate to
the application
● Become a subject matter expert on the application, including its business rules and how it
interacts with upstream and downstream systems
● Support teams across multiple simultaneous projects to:
○ Define, document, and refine project and feature scope through the product development
lifecycle
○ Create and maintain a robust, detailed backlog of user stories (requirements) and groom (clarify
and estimate) them with the engineering teams
○ Attend meetings and Agile ceremonies related to the project; provide notes and action items
back to respective team members
○ Coordinate with Product Managers and PMO on other teams working on cross-functional
projects
● Clarify and question assumptions that teams and individuals could be making by summarizing decisions
● Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience
● Minimum of 2 years experience as a Business Analyst or Product Manager working on large, enterprise
tech projects
● Experience with projects that involve analytics preferred
● Experience with the Direct Selling Industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
● Passion for solving problems, defining business rules, and working across a variety of stakeholder groups
● Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact and facilitate discussions with cross
functional teams
● Expertise documenting business and technical requirements
● Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills
● Must be adaptable in the face of rapidly changing priorities
● Must be able to find the clarity in ambiguous requirements
● Ability to recall details on the fly and apply them to new problems; see the big picture and the minutiae
simultaneously
● Technical savvy; ability to work and communicate effectively with engineers from a variety of disciplines
● Expertise with Agile Scrum, “User Story” format for requirements documentation and Atlassian JIRA
● Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides is a plus
Education, Certificates, Licenses, and other requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year accredited college or university in a related field or equivalent
combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
