The Content Marketing Creative team is hiring a temporary Director of Production and Operations to own and drive the execution of our marketing campaigns into the marketplace across a wide variety of digital and traditional channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish processes that help the creative team run smoothly internally and cross-functionally with other teams. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement within existing workflows or research and introduce new tools to enhance productivity and communication.
  • Lead regular production and status meetings
  • Track and balance creative team capacity and utilization
  • Assess staffing or outside resource needs; conduct regular resource forecasting for creative and production, measuring against anticipated requests and upcoming release slates
  • Manage overall creative budget: define specific project budgets, track monthly expenses, and reconciliation. Manage long-term budget planning for Content Marketing, coordinating with stakeholders across the department.
  • Manage the end-to-end creative development and production lifecycle for small and large-scale content-focused marketing campaigns
  • Develop comprehensive milestones and schedules for all assigned projects and work collaboratively with creative and marketing teams (designers, copywriters, creative directors, and strategists) to communicate project status, deliverables, specs, dependencies, and potential issues
  • Distill and translate complex information into clear takeaways and actions for the team
  • Resolve obstacles and manage scope changes as they arise, working with cross-functional colleagues to adjust timelines, project scope and/or resources as needed
  • Proactively keep team members on deadlines in an effective but positive way
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Effectively manage junior members of the production team
  • Act as the team’s primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Support vendor relationships including ongoing project communications around timelines and deliverables, contracts, purchase orders, and invoice management
  • Work with external production companies and internal partners to execute large-scale photo and video shoots: secure photographers, negotiate budgets, draft contracts, coordinate talent, and other shoot details
  • Manage legal aspects of projects, including footage restrictions, title clearances, music usage, talent & location releases, and standards and practices
  • Effectively manage junior members of the production team

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of project management experience, preferably at a creative agency, entertainment company, or network
  • Experience managing creative development and developing production processes and timelines that support the creative process
  • Strong knowledge of production budgeting and proven record of budget management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build a strong rapport and trust with partners across multiple functional area
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities in a calm and efficient manner
  • Broad project management experience across a variety of media channels, including but not limited to; digital advertising, broadcast, OOH, paid social, organic social, experiential
  • Team leader with ability to effectively manage creative team workload and deliverables without direct reporting structure
  • Solid written & oral communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of video and digital file types
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
