Audio QA Specialist

Newark, NJ (Telecommute; local to NY/NJ area preferred)

9+ month contract (benefits offered, potential to extend)

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Review submitted audiobooks to ensure adherence to requirements
  • Communicate with internal teams to support fast high quality processing to retail
  • Communicate with and advise providers who’s submitted titles do not meet our requirements
  • Respond to ACX Producers and Rights Holders with audiobook production-related questions
  • Process and track audio revision requests
  • Update internal tracking documents
  • Contribute to process and documentation improvements
  • Contribute to content that supports our producer educational efforts

Basic Qualifications

  • Three to five years’ experience working within a media production environment
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations
  • At least two years of experience in project-flow management is a plus
  • Expertise on PC computers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to handle rapidly changing scheduling on a daily basis
  • An avid consumer of online media, including books (audio and print), blogs, podcasts, and other digital content
  • Passion, energy, and creativity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Audiobook production experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in voiceover recording, editing, or producing audiobooks a major plus
  • Experience teaching VO production techniques and/or explaining the complexities of audio production to the uninformed
  • Advanced Excel/VBA/Power Query
  • Familiarity with Agile process and projects prioritization/management
  • Software development experience
  • Experience summarizing and presenting data-supported ideas to stakeholders
